The Role

This is initially an intern position leading into possible employment for the right candidate. You will be working a minimum of 2-3 days a week with flexibility in which days/hours you would like to work.

You will also be responsible for marketing ITALIC, formulating and implementing marketing strategies and monitoring social media accounts. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating office resources, accounts, clients and carry out office activities.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Great communication skills with the ability to present your ideas
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong spelling and grammar
  • Knowledge and experience with the various major social media networks
  • The ability to self-manage priorities, as well as plan and deliver multiple tasks on time or ahead of schedule
  • Experience with copy writing and proofing
  • Ability to maintain and manage customer relations
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • An eye for good design
  • A positive attitude towards work
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional image and approach

Please Note: Industry experience is not a requirement. We are looking to give someone an opportunity based on their attitude, work ethic and can provide the training needed.

 

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimisation
  • Experience with systems such as WordPress, Campaign Monitor and MailChimp
  • Basic Photoshop skills for tasks such as cropping images

Applicant must be based on the Sunshine Coast or willing to relocate.

As an intern you will assist and work closely with our lead designer and gain a deeper understanding of the design process. Projects can include branding, website/web application design, user interface design, print design as well as designing graphics for digital marketing. You will have the chance to use your imagination, get valuable feedback (from design, marketing and web functionality perspectives), see your designs published online or printed and then where possible track their results.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator)
  • Passion for great design
  • Great communication skills with the ability to present your ideas and write rationales
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Strong spelling and grammar
  • An optimistic attitude with fresh ideas and an artistic flair
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • An eye for good design
  • A positive attitude towards work
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional image and approach

You will also be responsible for the sales activity for ITALIC, formulating and implementing strategies to generate leads and convert to sales while reporting on your activities. Your responsibilities will also include client management and carry out office activities.

  • Knowledge and experience with the various major social media networks
